The theory of this triangle indicates that we can keep two of these aspects fix, but not all three (i.e. if we fix cost and schule, we must be flexible with scope). In real life, the vast majority of companies try to fix all three, so flexibility is not allow, or is allow when it is too late. Many executives avoid fluctuations complete wordpress guide: what because they think it is a sign of failure and incompetence. I was introduc to the iron triangle during a project management course many years ago. Since I have always been particularly interest in quality, when the instructor finish his explanation of the triangle I ask him where quality was locat. He thought about it for a moment and said that quality was implicitly at the center of the triangle. If that was true then why didn’t he mention it during his explanation? Besides, quality is too important to be “implicit.” I decid not to go back to that course.
